Halo 3 Legendary Edition (Xbox 360)

Halo 3 Legendary Edition (Xbox 360)
Customer Review: Wasnt as good as the hype!
This was my first console meeting with the Halo Franchise I got the Limited (Tin) version first then this one and sold of the other version!

The legendary Edition is worth the money as the spartan helmet looks great oh and there is a third DVD to but the Helmet is the real reason to get this!

With all the hype that surrounded the release of this game I was expecting to enjoy this game but didn’t, there wasnt anything bad about the game I just thought it lacked something Dynamic in the single player.

The Multiplayer is a good laugh as long as you dont play when all the school kids are on as they can be a bit excitable on Halo.

Now for the great bit, the biggest enjoyment I have had with this game is having a mate over and playing co-op over LAN this is great fun and the reason to get the game! Still a challenge on Legendary and a bit tricky at times on heroic, dont bother with normal as for co-op it is way to easy to even describe!

Customer Review: The Chief is back
Firstly the game is excellent. At first I wasn’t overly impressed but it sort of creeps up on you. Also play through it on Heroic or above otherwise it is too short and too easy. Once on this difficulty it becomes an absolute beauty.

The box set is impressively big. The helmet is a nice ornament although a little bigger than I was expecting. It won’t sit on most book shelves due to it’s height and depth.

I was a little disappointed that the discs were not boxed in the special edition tin which was a lovely looking thing. They are supposedly supposed to sit inside the helmet but I think most people tend to keep their games altogether on a shelf and it is a bit annoying that the game is in a plain looking normal box.

Customer Review: Err, airport express anyone?
Why is this so expensive? You could buy an Apple Airport Express for the same price, set it up as a wireless bridge and use that as a reciever for your xbox 360. At the same time you could also use it as a wireless print server, AND stream itunes music wirelessly to your hi-fi. Mind you, you have to have an airport extreme base station for bridge mode to work, so I guess for a lot of people this isnt an option. My point stands though, I dont mean to sound like an apple salesman, but you could have three times the functionality for the same price! What a rip-off!
Customer Review: Well worth the money
This item is essential if you have Xbox Live, and is so easy to use as it requires virtually no setting up. All I had to do was choose the network to connect to from the Xbox Dashboard and I was away, playing games online much faster than with the Xbox 360 wired up to the router (which for me required moving the router everytime and therefore waiting for it to restart!). If, with an ethernet cable, you end up waiting for your router to connect to the net as I previously did, this item is a must-have, as it allows the Xbox 360 to be permenatly connected to Xbox Live.

Lost Planet: Extreme Condition (Xbox 360) With the Xbox 360 still selling like two week old sushi in Japan, Capcom remains Microsoft’s biggest supporter from the land of the rising uppercut. Realising there’s no point trying to appeal to the local market their games so far have all been very much Western in style, as exemplified by the well-received Dead Rising. This was intended as a third person take on Halo and even though the similarities are ultimately minor it’s still one of the 360’s best action games. Like most Capcom games the story (and particularly dialogue and voiceovers) is not one of the game’s best features, but thankfully there’s not much that needs explaining when you’re fighting monster bugs and giant robot riding snow pirates.

Like Halo you can have only two weapons at a time and use a recharging shield. This though is powered by an always decreasing supply of thermal energy, topped up from defeated enemies. Apart from this the only other piece of gadgetry you have to help you is a grappling hook, although it remains largely underused in the single player campaign. The various mechs you can commandeer are a great deal of fun though, with different variants being able to jump, hover or transform into vehicles. Graphically the game is excellent, with some awesomely large Starship Troopers style bugs and possibly the best explosions ever in gaming.

Where the game gets into trouble is the brevity of the single player campaign. Although this is compensated by the online multiplayer mode, even that cannot overcome the game’s innate simplicity. Complexity, or even longevity, is not what this game is about though and in terms of offering plenty of big dumb fun it succeeds admirably.

Customer Review: good storyline and an even better multiplayer
this game mihgt not be up to starders of say gears of war or halo 3 but i think it has a certian quality that you dont see in either the of the games iv just mentioned. some mihgt not see this quality but for the people u do this will certianly be a game you cherish in your xbox 360 collection.
this game has a brilliant story mode that will entertian you for quite a while. fair enough the plot is not exactly plot of the year but it does have its twists which surprise you and the graphics are quite good. the combat system is really good wether your on foot or in a giant robot thing and having this choice of combat through out most of the game is great. the best part of the game i would say is the online multiplayer as maps are somtimes absolutely humungus which much bigger than what you get in GOW or halo3 and the mechanics the games uses make multiplayer a barrel of lauhgs somtimes

the only bad thing about this game is the way it creates multiplayer matches can be frusrtaitng and may take a while but somtimes its worth it and the control layout and is a little diffrent from most shooters and the camara angles came be frustating but thats not somthing that will throw u off the game its just somthing you will get used too so all in all i would say this is worth buying if you like and want a game which is diffrent or unique to other games.
Customer Review: Hardcore gaming
Shoot things. Once dead, shoot bigger things. Once dead, shoot even bigger things. Simple and straight-forward!

Most of the levels are simply paths leading to the massive boss fights, and it’s these battles that make the game. VS (or mechs) add varity as you plough through the destruction. Lots of weapons to choose from too.

Achievement points are sparse with only 450 points up for grabs for completion (assuming you collect all the medals). If you can beat the game on Extreme Mode (150 points on offer) you are truly a gaming god - it’s the hardest challenge I’ve come across on the 360 so far (eclipsing Veteran on COD3 and Insane on GoW).

Multiplayer is surprising good fun with enough variety in gameplay to keep you interested.

All in all a well made old skool shooter

Customer Review: X BOX 360 XMAS disappointment
This box malfuntioned straight out of the packaging. The start up screen never appeared. On reboot it did but the box malfuntioned continually after that with games crashing out or screen freezing after variable amounts of time sometimes 5 minutes other 35 minutes. This was on Xmas day after it was given as a Xmas present - how much disappointment there was. It culminated with the red lights of doom signifying the box had indeed died.

I now have to wait until January 2nd for a pick up - who can guess when the repacement will arrive?

3rd January 2008 - good service - hop it works this time.

Customer Review: How Will You Play?
Well first off, I need to say I am a hardcore wrestling fan, and so this review is from a fan’s point of view. SmackDown 2008 is the most recent installment of the highly successful franchise, and it’s second visit to the Xbox 360 easily surpasses last years’ game. The most notable differences are the graphics, which have been improved ten-fold. The animations have also been modified - something that has needed to be done for the last few years - and whilst some moves still look insanely unrealistic (West Coast Pop on the Great Khali, anyone?) you can appreciate the changes that have been done. As is the standard for each years’ installment, a selection of good - and not-so-good - songs by low-profile and well known artists have been included within the game. The modes of last year have also seen some alterations, such as the combinations of the GM and Season modes into the new 24/7 mode; oddly enough, despite the new label, you have to choose whether to play as a superstar or a GM when you begin, and so in actuality you are still playing Season and GM Modes. The latest grappler also includes the use of fighting styles, such as Powerhouse, Brawler, High-Flyer and Showman. This is perhaps the best feature of the new game, as it adds the need for tactics when playing. No longer can you play as Rey Mysterio and defeat the Great Khali, because you will get flattened if you try and just beat your way to the victory. For me its a good feature, but for others it may cause disapointment. Also, there are no different styles depending on the console; the 360 has the same styles as all SVR08 on the other platforms. On the topic of the 360, THQ have finally answered one of the much-requested features in the game: the use of your own music as entrance themes for pre-existing and created superstars. This is incredibly useful for when you want to update a superstars entrance theme, i.e. Johnny Nitro’s MNM theme to the now-used John Morrison theme, and whilst it is a little tricky to work it allows extra customisation within the game. By now you probably have either heard or read about the ECW presence within the game, and so I won’t go too far into this except to say that the use of ECW and the new Extreme Rules match is both good and bad. The good side of the ECW superstars is that THQ have now included some ECW legends, such as Sabu and Terry Funk. What’s bad is that the roster for the new brand is unbelievably limited. In the Extreme Rules match we can now set-alight tables and 2X4 ‘Barbies’, and also choose from a much wider selection of weapons to deal the damage. The bad side is that you can only have this match in the ECW arena, not on a PPV, and also the new weapon-wheel often slows down the action in the ring, as all other action stops whilst the player or CPU decides. The roster is slightly smaller than last year, and is also outdated, but since there is the possibility of downloading new content (superstars, arenas and match-types) via Xbox Live, I’ll leave this section alone until more info is revealed by THQ. Xbox Live remains active for SVR08, however the same lagging and quiting issues remain from the last game. Players often still quit in the middle of a match, ending your session, and don’t get punished for it. THQ needs to introduce a method of demotion in rank for frequent quiters. What I find the most frustrating about this game is the fact that, for the third year, THQ has used the same commentary. I got this game for X-Mas and from the first match I could almost talk along word-by-word what the commentators were saying. It just suggests that THQ are lazy and don’t consider their buyers worthy of more quality. Overall, I think that most WWE/ wrestling fans will find this game to be enjoyable, particularly for those who have player SVR2007 to death over the last year. However, for players who just want to have some fun and don’t have any of the other installments, I would have to recommend either renting this and then deciding, or just buying either the 2006 or 2007 edition to be on the safe side.
Customer Review: What a waste of potential
I am a big fan of the smackdown franchise and have been for a long time, smackdown vs raw 2007 was an ace game for all the right reasons and with smackdown 2008 in my hands i thought its going to be the 2007 game with way more things to do, an even better title…..how wrong i was. The game lacks and forgets to improove on a number of things that made the 2007 game what it was, such as: 1. When your ontop of the hell in a cell on 2008 there is an invisible field around the edge now so u cant accidentally fall off due to your mistakes. In 2007 it was nerve racking and tense being up on the cell wondering if u make 1 false move you will fall off and your down for the count. 2. They have not removed the ridiculous spam moves that online players constantly use and toaly ruin the experience, anybody who played frequently on the 2007 will know about the instant headbutt move that players would just spam onto you untill your red and pin you as this move was 99% effiecient and out of my year playing the game i think i managed to reverse it once, and among my friends im known for being the reversal king. 3. not only have they left the old spamming moves in such as the instant heabutt they have also added new ways that the online players can ruin the experience, such as the diving roll trait from a high flyer which can escape 99% of any tricky situations for them leaving you open again to be spam headbutted over and over. 4. The fragility of wrestlers on this game is pathetic my grandmother could take more of a beating than the wrestlers on this game, do 3 moves and your on red body status just about. now in comparison to smackdown 2007 that is truly feeble and this made the game boring rather than challenging. Smackdown vs raw 2008 had so much potential with uploading your own theme tunes and smoother gameplay, even the traits were a good potential move, but THQ and co. could not have gone more wrong with this title its slow and boring with wrestlers that take less beating than a wet paper bag can. if your after a challenging fast paced adreneline rush wrestling game then smackdown 2007 is the ultimate choice (if you look up youll notice the game has already halfed in price and its only been out a few month, that speaks a thousand words in my opinion) wise words: dont buy this because its the newest one.

Far Cry Instincts: Predator (Xbox 360) In a nutshell:
Hapless antihero Jack Carver starts on his first ever Xbox 360 adventure, featuring advanced graphics and enemy artificial intelligence that rival even the original PC version.

The lowdown:
More than any other first person shooter the Far Cry games have been a perverse combination of beautiful graphics (in this case a gorgeous tropical island) and uncompromising violence. This new Xbox 360 version includes a revamped version of the highly rated Xbox game, as well as an all-new expansion named Evolution. You start Evolution with all the bestial powers you gained in Instincts, including one hit kills and night vision, and as you’d expect the graphics have been given a serious overhaul - not just in terms of resolution but also the complexity and detail of everything in the game from enemy soldiers to the beautifully rolling sea.

Most exciting moment:
Taking out bad guys from your jet ski as you use it to jump ashore, run into the jungle, and quickly set-up a booby trap to stop pursuing bad guys.

Since you ask:
The new single player campaign Evolution will also be made available for the Xbox as a budget priced stand alone expansion.

The bottom line:
The best looking console Far Cry yet, with almost two games in one.- Harrison Dent
Customer Review: Far Cry Predator - The Honest Review
Hi everyone my second honest review for you all
(after my gears of war 360 review) ok today i wanna tell you about Far Cry Predator for the 360 so lets get to it.

Far cry predator is another of Ubisofts FPS games based on survival in the jungle and as the name suggests instincts.

STORY:
If you have played the 2 add ons for the original xbox ( insticts and evolution) then you already know what this game is about as its the two combined. However for those who have’nt the story is about Jack Carver a mercenary/tour guide who is out with a client towards the start of the game on a famous island, Jack has been to this island in the past (
Far Cry PC). Whilst napping on his boat a group of enemy soldiers attack jacks ship and force him to defend himself, abit further into the game jack is captured and given an injection that makes him superhuman i wont go on because i dont want to spoil the plot.

GAMEPLAY:
Far cry predator is an FPS game set in a jungle environment you may be thinking ooo yay open terrain to hunt in unfortunatly no :( invisible walls and narrow maps are present here and can really be annoying.
Being a game based on survival Jack must set traps to get rid of his enemies and avoid detection as he attempts to escape the first half of the game can be very intense or very boring depending on your style of play. But when you get the animal/feral instincts you should be kept entertained for a while longer.

In all fairness due to the terrible AI and choppy graphics i did prefer the original two games on the original xbox as they are basiclly the same thing and abit easier and will be cheaper than paying full whack for this, but if you are new to the whole far cry scene or jsut want a 360 game for cheap then this is not a bad purchse i wouldnt pay over ?15 for this though it can be a very boring game and isnt the best a 360 can do.
The AI and difficulty are the real low points of this game if an enemy see’s you and you engage him in a fire fight he’s most likely to gun you down first :\. One of the best features of this game has to be the map maker in which you can create your own jungle islands and use them in multiplayer with access to the many veichles the game has to offer.

GRAPHICS:
Ok now the graphics, they are only slightly improved no tweaked than the original xbox version but this doesnt mean they are bad, they are average but eye pleasing unless you want the best out of a 360. Water effects are good in this game and improved over the original 2 versions and the character models have been smoothed out abit. The jungle looks impressive but the foilage looks very un detailed up close.

MULTIPLAYER:
This is no dout the BEST feature Far cry predator has to offer, the single player campaign is nothing special at all but being able to create and use your own maps and face opponents online is a deffinite plus.
The game modes are great here to with teams playing as humans and feral creatures each with their own abilities really adds to the fun factor and will add a few hours of fun and want you to come back for more.

OVERALL
id just like to say to finish up that Far cry predator is by no means bad it’s average a good fps shooter but only rewarding if you have xbox live this is’nt to say the single player is terrible its just shallow and frustrating at times compared to other great games out there such as bioshcok. If you have played instincts and evolution on the original xbox then you wont want to buy this as it’s the two combined. i would suggest renting this game before buying it as it only offers limited thrills and will only appeal to fans if your a pc gamer i reccomend the original Far Cry game as the AI and gameplay are incredible its just a shame this isnt as great as the original.

Thanks for reading hope this was helpful

Customer Review: In parts can be the most fun xbox game I’ve played
Now, I had the Original Far Cry for the PC and that game was fantastic. Great gameplay, gorgeous environments and a large sense of freedom. First Person Shooters had always been about dark and gloomy factory corridors and other boring environments. It gave you fun gameplay in an environment that you’d naturally want to explore and play in regardless.

Skip to Far Cry Instincts: Predator. A port from the Original xbox game, as it failed to meet the backwards compatibility list. Taking the Far Cry core mechanics and adding a bunch of feral powers such as Extreme running, tracking by smell and a lethal claw attack. These additions can be huge amounts of fun both on/offline. The game includes the original Instincts storyline and adds a second story mode called evolution. This extends the life of the game and gives you quite a lot for your money.

The Online mode is pretty fun. Predator mode, where one person is a feral beast with all the powers against a group of helpless mercenaries. Included with depth map editor that can be a lot of fun to use online, aswell as the actual building.

To sum it up..

I loved the original Far Cry. This game doesn’t quite feel like the original, it loses something in the process. BUT it adds so much more and can be great fun just like the original. If you had the original xbox game, there isn’t enough here to have paid the full release price, but for a cheaper price is worth checking out. Are you a fan of FPS games? If so you owe it to yourself to play this game. It’s been a highly underrated xbox 360 title and I would advise anyone to make their own decision about it, rather than accepting some of the dire reviews.

GUN (Xbox 360)
Customer Review: Gun by Activision
With what I think is a phenominal storyline whith well casted characters who you quickly get to know and enjoy it’s a shame the grapghics havn’t been improved for next gen however despite that fact its still a must buy game, a comment which I heard recently was the map size, OK it ain’t no GTA but even if the map was massive and interactive I don’t think this as the quality of GTA for you to go back and back so the map size to me is no issue, for a fun story buy this game

Customer Review: Yee haw!
I must admit, I’ve never been a great lover of westerns when it comes to video games, I only have one or two others but this is a pretty good game. It may not be the best graphically on 360 but like the saying ‘looks are only skin deep’ and most of the time it is true in this case.

Gameplay-wise you have the whole lot of the wild west to explore (alas it’s basically GTA in the wild west) and although the gameplay is mostly great, like the controls are easy to master, it does get a little repetitive but out in the west things wouldn’t be much different for a cowboy otherwise. It’s also good to just occasionally have a mess around on like seeing as it’s meant to be serious you could play ‘Blazing Saddles’ to it.

At least worth a rent.

Very reliable and user-friendly. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a pc controller.
Customer Review: XBOX 360 Controller Review for MS Windows
Like other reviewers, I was looking for a controller/gamepad for the PC. Having fumbled around with 3rd party products I found them to be useless. In the past I used an adaptor that would allow PS2 controllers to be used worked OK but the lack customisation was poor. Having installed the provided drivers the controller was identified by WinXP immediately, however by doing some research I installed the XBCD drivers (Google this term or look on wikipedia) and I was able to initiate the rumble feature (not supported by the Microsoft drivers in older games). I use this controller for Dirt, Sega, Nintendo and Winaue emulation - the pad works like a charm! However you do have to spend a few minutes setting up the controller. If your looking for a gamepad/controller this worth getting, will add a more interesting element to your PC game play. However I do prefer to stick to Keyboard and Mouse combo for FPS!!

Dead Rising (Xbox 360)

In a nutshell:
Freelance photographer Frank West is stuck in a shopping centre full of zombies and he’s only got 72 hours to escape. How he manages that feat is entirely up to you, with his fate, that of dozens of other survivors and a legion of the walking dead entirely in your hands.

The lowdown:
Since this is basically an unofficial video game remake of Dawn of the Dead it tries to recreate all the major elements from the movie, including scenes with hundreds of zombies on screen at once. Given free reign in the shopping centre there are 250 different objects you can use to dispatch them but in the end escape is your own really option. The question is how you manage it and whether you properly investigate what’s going, try and help other survivors or photograph their demise in an attempt to win a Pulitzer. Although helping the survivors involves some fairly dull escort mission the only real flaw is the oddly strict save system which won’t let you save more than once. It’s not nearly enough to spoil the fun of a good zombie massacre though.

Most exciting moment:
Undoubtedly the best fun in the game is, much like Grand Theft Auto, not completing the missions but just mucking around – which inevitably involves attacking zombies with everything from a lawnmower to ladies’ handbags. Doing so with a cartoon head on and a pair of hotpants raises the level of surreal fun even further.

Since you ask:
Although officially the game is nothing to do with Resident Evil, the game contains a number of sly references to the series. One of the more subtle is the sandwich bar ?€œJill’s Sandwiches?€?, named after the famously awful line of dialogue in the original Resident Evil game.

The bottom line:
An action game with zombies, weapons and options by the hundreds.

Customer Review: Dead Rising - The Honest Review
Hi everyone, today im going to review Dead Rising on the 360 for you all as i usually do in all my reviews i will go through the catagories STORY, GAMEPLAY , GRAPHICS, OVERALL, and MULTIPLAYER (if any). Lets get started.

Dead Rising is capcom’s (Resident Evil n DMC series) new zombie horror fest game in which you play as a photojournalist named Frank West who must survive 3 days in a zombie infested shopping mall what you do within those 3 days is down to you.

STORY:
Dead Rising see’s a small American town plauged by flesh eating zombies, Frank West (photojournalist) gets news of a strange incident and investigates to get the scoop, he arrives by chopper due to the roads being blocked off by the army but as mysterys unfold in the mall Frank finds himself in the middle of a huge conspiracy.

GAMPLAY:
Dead Rising is unique compared to Capcoms Resident Evil series they have focused more on a free roam aspect and the ability to use anything you can find as a weapon it’s great in theory unfortunatly towards the opening of the game most areas of the mall are locked/shut so you have to do missions to open them which isnt bad really but when the cases involve waiting for hours on end just to do a small objective it can get very boring
( e.g. when you get a case it says “NEXT CASE WILL OCCUR AT 6:00AM and sometimes this just for a cut scene and then having to wait another few hours is frustrating).
Thankfully there is plenty of undead and psycho paths walking the mall to get rid of, survivors are present but the AI is poor e.g, if they see a swarm of zombies or a safe path they will run into the swarm of zombies unarmed and die. That aside the controls of the game are very easy to use and the camera works better than most Capcom games the controls are very easy to get use to.
If you have a standard definition TV you might be abit annoyed by the small blurry txt that comes up every time you get a call but unfortunatly you have to read them( due to the fact that they didnt include voices in these phone calls), but if you dont want to you can just set a way point marker to the scoop and follow it.
I enjoyed Dead Rising but i think improvments could of been made but that doesnt mean its bad beacuse its a really good game and addictive if its your first time.
RPG fans will like this game too as you get rewarded new abilities for PP (picture points) or escorting survivors the maximum level is 50 and it will take a while to fully level up.

GRAPHICS:
Dead Rising is visually brilliant all the characters are well renderd and animated they look almost like real people, the mall itself is incredibly detailed with real time effects such as lighting and water features etc. The zobies actually look really good in this game considering theres so many on screen at once sure they look the same but would you really wanna animate different zombies a million times over? lol by the same i dont mean your gonna see only one zombie i mean more like GTA games for example. they sue the same skins but just multiply them.
The cutscenes look brilliant in this game and character detail is fine.

OVERALL:
Dead Rising will appeal to people that either love zombie games or those who love dawn of the dead, unfortunatly if your looking for scares this isnt what your looking for as its just not got the horror factor that Resident Evil had.
But theplot is great and its still a great game and is worth buying with 6 endings to collect and loads of different playing styles this is bound to keep you busy for a few months i’ll give dead rising a 7 out of 10 simply because i think some changes could have been done to make this feel more like a action horror game.

Thanks for reading hope this was helpful to you

Customer Review: Disappointing
‘Dead Rising’ for the Xbox 360 is the game that every fan of the zombie genre, whether it be films, books or games, has been waiting for. Unfortunately it didn’t live up-to it’s fairly high expectations.

The main objective of the game is to remain alive inside the zombie-infested mall for at least three days, after which help will arrive. In-game time runs twelve times faster than real-time, meaning one day in-game is exactly two hours in real time. Therefore, the game is automatically ended after six hours of gameplay, when the time runs out. You control the main character, Frank West. As a photojournalist, Frank has an interest in uncovering the truth behind the zombie epidemic through unlocking a series of “case files” that build upon the previous ones and reveal the central plot as the game clock progresses. Unlocking case files is accomplished primarily by completing tasks and being in the right place at the right time in order to view a cutscene that explains more of the story. Frank also carries a camera and can earn “Prestige Points” from photographing different situations.

You also can choose to rescue other survivors within the mall and battle the many psychopaths that get in your way. With over 80 shops and endless amounts of weapons where you can use pretty much anything from tools to toys, you’d think this game would be great fun, but after a few hours the action does get very repetitive and tedious and ends up being generally quite dull.

Basically this is “Dawn of the Dead: The Game”. The graphics are brilliant (some of the best on the 360, especially in HD) and the scale of the mall and it’s surroundings and the large amount of zombies on the screen at one time is extremely impressive, but due to the game’s terrible save system and repetitive gameplay, this game really isn’t as great as it should have been. It is definitely better to rent this game as it’s lasting appeal wears off fairly quickly.

Burnout Paradise (Xbox 360)

Burnout Paradise (Xbox 360)
Customer Review: Burnout Review
Ok..

I have played a few burn out games in my time and this at present I would say is the best in the series. The graphics and gameplay is great.

This will be a challenging and fun game for anyone.

Only bought it Saturday gone and cant put the damn thing down!!!

Would highly recommend

Customer Review: Paradise - lost.
What have they done?

I’m not much of a racing game fan but I loved Burnout Revenge it was so much fun. All the fun elements of Revenge seem to have been lost in the vast mess that is Paradise City.

Graphically it looks great but it is dull to play and seems similar to so many other racing games out there albeit with instant access into all races and a vast area of game play. Still I’d rather wait for a minute to start my game and actually enjoy playing it.

Very much a case of style over content.

Test Drive Unlimited (Xbox 360)

Test Drive Unlimited (Xbox 360)
Customer Review: You Either Love it or Hate it
Test Drive Unlimited boasts a huge range of cars and bikes and acres of road with no boundaries. This sounds appealing and actually works very well. The Graphics are good so drive around the island exploring and enjoying the scenery is fun for a while. However it can only last so long before you get fed up of it and want to start racing, and that is when the game gets a lot worse.

The races are all very similar and just very ordinary and boring, there are other missions to do such as Hitchhikers, delivery missions and Car transport missions, but all of these are essentially the same, the only thing that changes is what you are delivering. This is a massive let down for the game and takes a lot of fun out of it.

The open-ended game play also means that there is no story at all running through the game and you may well end up thinking “what’s the point?”.

Some people I have spoken to though really love this game and think it is great to just be able to drive round the island for hours on end, however for me this is not my idea of a racing game. So, Boring as hell or the perfect escapism? That’s for you to decide but I seriously recommend trying this game out at a friends house or renting it first. That way you definately won’t be dissapointed.

Customer Review: Things you do not want to do on Test Drive!
When I first got the game I did not know what to do and I started to crash into cars but then I found out that the cops come after you and I got pulled over so do not et into trouble with the police because they can take your money away.

Do not go bank robbed because its really hard to earn all the money back without spending it!

By the way BUY A LAMBORGHINI THEY WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

Customer Review: If you want to get the most out of xbox live then get one
The 20gb drive has all the space you’ll need to download extra maps, game modes ect as well as loads of xbox live arcade games and videos etc. There’s no set price for the 120gb model in the uk as yet, and after using an xbox 360 for some time it’s reasonable to say that all that space will be wasted except for the most hardcore of the hardcore, or those who wish to fill it with mp3’s, which I would guess most tech freaks already have stored on their pc. So if your xbox 360 is hdless then this is the way to go. Expensive, yes, worth it, yes.
Customer Review: Not worth the price
If you are looking at this and you are thinking its right for you, its not, you are being conned at this price, I’ve been wanting the new 120GB hard drive for quite a while now, and although im still waiting the wait is worth it, this is because the HDD 120GB drive, is priced at 170 dollars, and a quick check on www.xe.com confirms that 170.00 USD (united state dollars) = 85.3642 GBP (United Kingdom pounds). So for 20 quid more, you are getting 100GB. Just think about it ;) the 120GB drive is expected in around 30 days.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted (Xbox 360) Customer Review: Truly brilliant racing game.
NFS Most Wanted is a total success, because it manages to be exciting, addictive & this 360 version looks amazing. The city of Rockport is huge & it has a gritty & grimy look that’s very realistic.

The choice of cars is very extensive, & the career mode is the main part of the game where you work your way through, win races, earning money as you go & meeting new challengers in the game’s “blacklist”. I must also mention the movie scenes in between the races. These look absolutely superb & have real people in them, & not CGI characters !!

Finally, the police element in the game is wonderful. It’s huge fun to have the chance to make a getaway & have several police cruisers on your tail !!! Awesome.

A racing game that’s really special !!!
Customer Review: The best NFS for ages
Owning and completing this game on PS2 was a lotta fun so now owning a 360 I had to get it and play.
Let me start by saying I own both Carbon and Most wanted and most wanted is a far better game in every department.
For starters it the first one I can remember that actually races in the day allowing you to take in the beautiful graphics and overall design of the game.
The police chases A huge huge bonus they actaully make you feel tense as your wanted level goes up as you cause more chaos whilst racing.
The story is brilliant with hilarous FMV;s brilliantly cheesy and a lot of fun to watch. - Not sure if they where supposed to be comical to start with but by half they are cracking to watch.

The Cars themselves are good in number and choice, with the usual upgrade options on visuals/performance etc, with special limited parts becoming available as you win races from the main characters in the game.

An extra challenge series of some 50 set races allowing adds to the single player mode - but generally I would say getting all 100% will set you back 30+ hrs.
This is an excellent arcade racer for a good price that has an open play style of racing and the speed/panic it brings that only a few racers could hope for and in my view is only beaten by Burnour Revenge(at current time) as being king of the arcade racers.
