Customer Review: Brilliant Idea but very confusing
I bought one of these keypads from Comet, now I think it’s a bloody brilliant idea but there’s a slight issue with it… It’s very confusing to use. Even after three months of using it I still find it irritating sometimes. Example: I turn on CapsLock to type in bold, I turn off Capslock and carry on Typing just to find that after the first letter came out in normal text but the rest was all in Caps. An Example of this: ”HELLO FRANKY! hOW ARE YOU?” Closely followed by me swearing at it and having to redo the sentence. With a little bit of practice this device would be a gamer’s dream but like others have said… just buy a Keyboard and sit it next to you so you can type ingame.

Customer Review: Absolutely Rubbish
I purchased this product hopeing it would improve the picture quality of my component cable. To be honest there was nothing wrong with the component, the picture was clear, sharp and the colours were vibrant. THIS cable however made the picture quality plumet completely. The screen had a dull shadow of grey coating it and the small details like edges of straight lines were all fuzzy, clearly visable from my seat around 2 meters away. Also it made the screen a fraction smaller and made everything seem more streched. Take my advice, if you want something as good as HDMI, get or stick with compenent cables. In my own opinion, compenent is just as a good as HDMI. My friend has the eilte, on the same sized tv as mine and I could see absolutley NO DIFFERENCE whatsoever. So don’t waste your money on this rubbish.
Customer Review: much better than Component and not far from HDMI
After seeing a 360 Elite via HDMI and a normal 360 via Component both on the same 32″ LCD TV, the difference was a lot more than i thought! Component gave slightly jagged edges to most objects and some colours just looked slightly off-hue, compared to HDMI which looked smoother and produced more normal colours. Annoyed that i’d bought a normal 360 before the Elite was released, I couldn’t see the point in paying around ?300 for a better picture, so for the sake of ?18 (ish) VGA was worth a try.. This cable is definitely worthwhile for the improvement it gives over Component - once the right resolution has been chosen for the TV/monitor it’s on (with a 32″ LCD @ 16:9 widescreen, 1360×768 seemed to look right), it’s very close to HDMI quality in both visual sharpness and colour realism.

Customer Review: Good for kids…
First of all Microsoft have only released 2 games consoles the Xbox 360 being their second. Secondly there are only 3 versions of the Xbox 360 on the market: Xbox 360 Arcade (formerly known as the CORE pack) Xbox 360 Premium Xbox 360 Elite The old CORE had a WIRED controller NO memory card and NO arcade games this one comes with the WIRELESS CONTROLLER, 256mb memory card and arcade games. ALL Xbox 360’s now have a HDMI output including this model however does NOT come with HDMI cables or component cables. The reason for the 3 rating is that well its a CORE, its has no hard drive meaning if you want to go online you will need a hard drive in order to download the vast amount of content available. Some games also need a hard drive but from what I know that includes maybe 5 games at max but the hard drive helps with caching so it allows the games load a bit quicker. The Core also has no chrome tray, now if you are not bothered then fine. If you can stretch to the PREMIUM model I would say go for that, but if you are not planning on going online (which means you will miss out on game updates as well also maybe content for your games and console updates) then stick with the CORE - you can still go online with it with the memory card so you can grab your console and game updates and play with people online but the hard drive is a must as you will be missing out on the full capabilities of the Xbox 360. I own an Xbox 360 Elite and for the ?299.99 basically a ?100 more you get a whoppping 120gb hard drive, all the cables you need for HD gaming and a black headset.
Customer Review: Pretty impressive
I’m not a massive gamer, having only briefly owned a PS2 and a Gamecube but I ordered this machine to give me something else to do other than watching television each evening. First Impression Within 10 minutes of opening the packaging it was set up and ready to play, Microsoft seem to be marketing this as “everything you need to start gaming” and that’s a pretty good description. Of course, you know when you buy this that you are going to need some games as well. The Machine and Controller The box itself looks very well made, sturdy and nicely designed. You can have it horizontal or vertical and it fits in nicely with my CD player, DVD player and PVR in my TV stand. The power cable and box are pretty chunky but not too bad. The machine does make some noise when its switched on but it hasn’t bothered me at all. The wireless controller is excellent, very easy to set up with the box, well laid out and fits very comfortably in your hands. As with the box, it looks good and sturdy. I decided to also invest in a rechargeable battery (about ?8.99) and charger (about ?19.99) so that I wasn’t constantly going to need AA batteries. Its also good that you can turn the whole system on using the controller. Of course, I’ll have to invest in some more controllers at some point for when my mates fancy a game. Graphics, Speed and Memory I was disappointed with the graphics at first. On FIFA 08 the players were fuzzy and the screen a little dull. Of course, the box has an HDMI port so its easily fixed by buying an HDMI cable but the strange location of the HDMI port on my TV (which meant the chunky HDMI cable would be constantly on show sticking out the side of the TV) meant that I got a Component HD AV Cable (about ?19.99) instead and the difference between that and the standard cable is immense. Bright, vivid, and frankly a pleasure to look at. I’m happy with the loading time from when you turn the machine on and during games, all pretty quick. The Memory card fits in the front of the machine and has more than enough memory to save plenty of games (judging by the information that I’ve seen on the back of game boxes). Games I haven’t even tried the games that came with the system yet, I didn’t pay ?190 (amazon have put the price up ?10 since I bought it) to play the likes of pacman. The variety of games is amazing and shopping around means that you can usually get them well below their RRP. Being a massive sports fan my collection will revolve around the ES Sports Games (FIFA, Madden, NBA, Tiger Woods etc…) but there are tonnes of racing, war, 1st person and adventure games around ranging in the target age groups. I’ve so far got Madden, FIFA and NBA 08 and they all play really well. Puzzle games don’t really feature in the catalogue, I think they’ve catered for this through XBox Live where you can download arcade games using a membership but you’ll need a Hard Drive and to connect it to the internet for that (Hard Drives included with either the premium or elite versions or sold seperately) which I haven’t done as I don’t have wireless internet or a cable point near the TV (and I’m too rubbish at most games to want to play others online anyway!). Overall, this is a very good buy but its probably worth investing in a couple of accessories like I have to make it that bit better.

Customer Review: Cheap Plastic - Bad quality
Please take a second to give a good review. I purchased the Elite 360 package and day 1 started the game and within 10 minutes, the right joystick started to lock! the trigger was making creaky noise and the console tray where you put the DVD is another piece of cheap plastic. looks like all’s made and shipped from china or something.. no doubt the console itself is amazing - and the games are superb - but the quality of the product is very very bad! i have the original xbox and the controllers over there are perfectly solid!!! Just because it’s XBOX, it doesnt mean that all’s rose & wine! - very dissapointed for the money i paid!
Customer Review: Good for passive gamers
These are great lag-free controllers, especially if you only play your Xbox 360 every now and again. However, beware if you’re a vivid gamer. If you play for hours on end then you’ll find that the controller literally eats up batteries and you’ll end up draining a pack of 24 batteries quite quickly. You’ll find that you’ll need to invest in a charger if you want to stop guzzling up the batteries. (It’s really annoying having to change batteries in the middle of an online match.) It would probably be adbisable to have an extra controller readily charged in case of needing to switch quickly. If you’re playing with other people you will need at least 2 wireless controllers for 4 people and 1 for 3 people as the Xbox 360 only has two USB slots for wired controllers which is a pain. Apart from that all the rest about the controller is great comfort wise and fits into all shapes of hands (although young children may find it slightly difficult to reach some buttons whilst holding others). The reception of the controller is very good as well, it can receive through walls as well!
